To Sekisui House Shareholders

Our Request re: the 69th Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders

April 19, 2020

Please do not join the Ordinary General Meeting of Shareholders (“Meeting”) on April 23, 2020.

In accordance with the national emergency declaration due to COVID- 19, we request that all shareholders please stay at home for personal safety.

We firmly oppose Sekisui House’s decision to force the Shareholder Meeting, which is not mindful of the risks to human life.

We filed a provisional disposition to the Osaka District Court to request that the Meeting of shareholders not be held on April 23, 2020.

If this petition is accepted, the Shareholder Meeting will be postponed.  If the petition is rejected and the Shareholder Meeting remains to take place on April 23 as planned, we would ask that shareholders not attend.

If you are considering joining the Meeting to vote for us, we want to express our most sincere gratitude; however, please do not attend the meeting and stay home for your personal safety takes first priority. Joining the meeting will pose health risks.

Among our team, only the two of us - Fumiyasu Suguro and another member who is going to ask the Sekisui House management questions - will be present at the Shareholder Meeting.

Sekisui House management should be mindful of the declaration of a state of emergency, and they should not risk the lives of the shareholders and Sekisui House employees to for the sake of holding the meeting on April 23, 2020.

We will request that Sekisui House arrange for all the shareholders to be given detailed feedback from the Meeting, including all the questions and answers.  If Sekisui House would not agree to do so, we, rather than Sekisui House, will make the arrangements.

Again, we request you do not bother to come to the Meeting on April 23. In the face of a global pandemic, we must all do our part to flatten the curve. Stay home!

Thank you for your understanding and support.

Sincerely yours,

Fumiyasu Suguro    Isami Wada
